Cal State Dominguez Hills

California State University, Dominguez Hills is located in Carson, California - a region known as the South Bay of Los Angeles. Visit our campus where you can enjoy the beautiful Southern California weather on long palatial lawns or on shady benches beneath stands of eucalyptus and melaleuca "shedding bark" trees.

Situated on the top of the highest hill for which the university is named, campus is surprisingly flat and offers a 360-degree view of the surrounding area with downtown Los Angeles to the northeast and the rolling hills of Palos Verdes and San Pedro harbor to the southwest.

The Dominguez Hills campus offers teens with Asperger's, ADD and other learning differences a chance to experience a taste of independence while residing on campus in a college dormatory. Participants are introduced to the social, academic and independent living skills necessary for success at college and beyond.

CIP's Teen Summer Program gives young adults 16-19 with learning differences an introduction to the College Internship Program's comprehensive curriculum, including social skills, executive functioning and organization, person-centered planning, reframing classes and more.

A healthy mix of fun activities makes for a great experience!

"We are pleased that our kids can have a precollege experience that is safe and positive. Teaching leadership and team work was also an important element."
