CIP Summer Program

Indiana University, Bloomington (IUB)
Rated one of the 5 most beautiful campuses in the nation, Indiana University in Bloomington's vibrant downtown atmosphere is filled with a diverse mix of cultural attractions, food, music venues and the arts.
IU's slower pace during the summer allows extra opportunity for students to experience life on campus. A thriving live music scene, coffeehouses, open-air organic markets, eclectic restaurants, more than 30 festivals, and picturesque scenery are just part of what makes Bloomington, Indiana, the cultural center of the Midwest.
The IU Bloomington campus offers teens with Asperger's, ADD and other learning differences a chance to experience a taste of independence while residing on campus in a college dormatory. Participants are introduced to the skills necessary for success at college including social, academic and independent living skills.
The teen Summer Program at IU Bloomington gives teens with learning differences an introduction to the College Internship Program's comprehensive curriculum, which includes social thinking, executive functioning and organization, person-centered planning, reframing and more.

More About Bloomington
"I thought that this was a fabulous program. Our son learned a lot- even when he didn't realize that he was "learning". I think that it was a great way for him to go out and be without parents in a safe environment and experience life of the college student. With this knowledge he now knows that he CAN do it. Thanks for the experience."
